Re: [Banshee-List] Help needed on Banshee

So, I did some test.

I encoded some track(s) in AAC with WinAmp, and the tracks are well read with Banshee, great !!

But encoding doesn't work with Banshee and Sound Juicer. Some mp4 (Banshee) or m4a (Sound Juicer) are create with some not weird sizes. But when I try to read them I always get a message like "Can't determine the flow".

When I try to read these files directly in the command line "faad myfile.m4a", I get the message "Gain control not yet implemented".

Any idea ?

Any way thanks for the help.

Ok thanks a lot.

I'll test this ASAP and post a feedback. Stay tuned.

If I well understand you, it would be possible to:
- encode in AAC for let's say Sound Juicer using GST 8.0 AAC plugins
- use Banshee to playback the m4a files produced by Sound Juicer
- use Banshee to download these m4a files to the iPod.

This should work fine.

Am I wrong?

Of course this is the workaround while waiting a complete Banshee
solution.
