Hi Helmut:

Hi,

I am using Balsa 2.6.3 on a recent Ubuntu system.
I cannot enlarge ( View/Zoom ).

"Zoom" is effective only for HTML message parts; you cannot use it to change font size for text/plain parts
or for headers.

I have edited $HOME/.balsa/config and I've set

PrintHeaderFont
PrintBodyFont
PrintFooterFont
MessageFont
SubjectFont

to larger values, but this doesn't seem to have any effect.

I would expect that to have the same effect as the way Jack suggested, using the preferences dialog. It works
for me (I'm composing this with a horrifically large monospace font!).

On startup I get the following error messages
(balsa:4425): Gtk-WARNING **: 12:08:50.571: Theme parsing error: <data>:7:13: Not using units is deprecated.

I have never seen those, but I haven't tried hand-editing ~/.balsa/config.

(balsa:4425): GLib-GIO-WARNING **: 12:08:55.476: unable to send notifications through
org.freedesktop.Notifications: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name

That may be a configuration issue. Searching for "org.freedesktop.Notifications on Ubuntu" shows results that suggest
that it may just require installing some "*.service" file.

Many thanks for some hints,
Helmut

Hope this helps, at least a little!

Peter
