Good afternoon all,
I suppose it's just been too quiet here lately.
I'm in process of migrating to a new PC, so I don't know if these
glitches are related to that or not. I'm currently running balsa
compiled from git head on 16 Aug.
Although the checkbox to fetch mail every x minutes is unchecked, for
the past few days, Balsa has been checking for new mail (POP3) on a
regular basis (maybe ever 10 minutes or so.) Is there some other
setting that might affect this? When I'm not actually sitting in front
of this box, I don't want it fetching mail, so I can check for new mail
via IMAP on my other devices. It's worked fine that way for many
years. Note it was also working as expected on this new box for at
least several days or weeks. Actually, I'm not certain it is on any
regular basis, but it has been checking when I'm nowhere near the
keyboard, and it also sometimes seems spontaneous - or responding to
some inadvertent mouse movement or keyboard click.
Next issue, in settings, I have checked the box to expand threads on
opening a mailbox, but threads are fully collapsed. If I expand one,
then close and reopen Balsa, it's closed again. Is there some secret
setting I don't know about, or is there something I can check for in
some config file?
Thanks for saving my sanity.
Jack
