with a recent cvs compile (ChangeLog 2005-06-22 Pawel Salek ) Balsa always hangs with 100% cpu on some mails like the one attached.

Strange thing: after attachign the mail via drag'n drop to this message it displays just fine...?

Please tell me if you need more information.

Did you compile Balsa with debug information? In this case, you could either attach gdb to the haning process or run balsa in gdb. Then interrupt it and run "bt full".

This gives many lines like

#52 0x00002aaaac7367f1 in gtk_main () from /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
No symbol table info available.

and after that

#53 0x000000000045d23f in main (argc=1, argv=0x7fffffdce048) at main.c:658
        snd = (BalsaSendmsg *) 0x2aaaae6b4698
        lst = (GSList *) 0x661110
        window = (GtkWidget *) 0x797a60
        client = (GnomeClient *) 0x661110
        default_icon = (gchar *) 0x661110 "@\bf"

(complete BT attached)

Does this help a bit or shall I load the 20MB libgtk2.0-0-dbg?

The problem seems to step away when first opening a "working" mail and after that the evil ones.
