Great, thanks a lot... but the icon is gnome-stock...

Is it right that all multipart/alternative parts of one group are shown (e.g. the txt _and_ html version of the same part in a msg sent with outlook express?)

Does balsa *display* both parts by default? This would be incorrect - depending upon the selection in the prefs, balsa should either display the "highest quality" (?) one in the alternative group, or the text/plain part if you selected to ignore html crap. They should, however, be both visible in the attachments popup as well as on the 2nd notebook tab - just in case you want to switch between them, and their "section level" should be the same (e.g. 1.1 and 1.2).

On the other side I got a mail from Netscape 7.1 (win xp) with

Content-Type: multipart/mixed;
boundary="------------090501000605040907060404"

I see the text with all 3 pictures marked in the source as

--------------090501000605040907060404
Content-Type: image/jpeg;
name="Ritterlicher Adler- und Falkenhof 016.jpg"
Content-Disposition: inline;
filename="Ritterlicher Adler- und Falkenhof 016.jpg"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64

But the clippy in the corner is not shown.

Checked with a similar message, coming from MacOS X's Mozilla, but the engine below is the same. The images are quite large, and the resulting message body box is wider than the container. Therefore, I get a scroll bar at the bottom. Unfortunately, this also expands the header box, so the attachments button is outside the initially visibile area. Maybe there is the same effect with your messsage?

IMHO we should think about shrinking images to the width of the surrounding container, as this will be the effect the user usually wants - unfortunately, people tend to blindly attach multi-MB, 2 kpixel wide stuff, and balsa now will display only a fraction of it...

Cheers, Albrecht.
