Unfortunately, gpg offers a great deal of flexibility here... You can set
the environment variable GNUPGHOME to specify a different folder. You can
run gpg with --homedir to override this env variable. You can run gpg with
--options to override the options file name instead of using ~/.gnupg/gpg.
conf or ~/.gnupg/options. You can specify --trustdb-name both on the
command line and in the options file to specify a different trust database
and in turn lock file. So unfortunately my "solution" just catches the
defaults, but to be honest, I was too lazy to write a full-featured parser
for rarely used setups to catch a condition which affects only a few
people with huge key rings...
