Hi,
I'm not sure whether this question really belongs here, neither whether
it is just a problem on my side or something more general.
I've the impression tha balsa is very slow when opening large mailboxes
or filtering messages. Just checked this: there were 106 msgs in my
Inbox, 11 of which were new/unread. Took about 20 secs before filtering
was complete.
One of my mailboxes stores msgs from a general Debian mailing list and
contains at the moment about 7,000 msgs. Scanning that mailbox took
about a minute.
I could perhaps live with it, but in both cases, balsa excessively uses
up resources.
My system is Debian/sid, with Gnome 2.4 running on an Athlon 1800+ with
512MB RAM, my version of Balsa is 2.0.15.
Any comments are welcome. Best regards,
Andreas
PS: Just found this line in my config file:
[filters-mailbox-0]

Could this be an explanation for the long time it takes to filter
messages?
Just deleted the "root@rocket\\ muell" filter and its occurences in the
filter list. Filtering now took only about 3-4 secs. However, the
repeated occur also seems to be result of a bug:
When I manually apply filters the first time balsa has been opened, or
the first time after editing filters, the first filter in the list
appears on the left pane of the dialogue. It appears not to be selected
yet, so it gets added ad infinitum to the bottom of the list...
