Package: balsa
Version: 2.0.10-1

When starting balsa, it crashes at startup. I get an error message
saying
Application "balsa" (process 2267) has crashed
due to a fatal error. (Segmentation fault)
In the status bar is the message 'opening mailbox INBOX please wait'
After that, I can start Balsa again but my INBOX (on an IMAP server)
is unavailable: it shows 0 messages and no matter how often I click
on it or try anything, it doesn't open (but it shows no error
message either). An strace on the IMAP server shows that balsa
doesn't even try to open the INBOX. All other IMAP folders work
just fine.
It looks like this only happens when I have the following settings:
Settings -> Preferences -> Startup -> Options
[v] open INBOX at startup
[ ] Check mail upon startup
[v] Remember open mailboxes between sessions
If I set it to:
[ ] open INBOX at startup
[v] Check mail upon startup
[v] Remember open mailboxes between sessions
.. everything works just fine.
It appears that it doesn't matter if 'remember open mailboxes
between settings' is set or not. Hmm, 'Check mail upon startup'
doesn't change things either.
However with 'Check mail upon startup' and 'Remember open mailboxes'
set, balsa also opens INBOX at startup (if it was opened in the
previous session) and that works fine.
Looks like the option 'open INBOX at startup' when INBOX is on an
IMAP server crashes balsa.
Mike.
