IMHO, your app looks very promising and might be a good replacement for 
the old address book. As you use xml, it might be a good idea to add this 
as additional address book format to balsa instead of using the vcard 
import/export (which should not be *that* difficult, right?).

I must admit, though, that I have some problems to get it *really* working 
on my system (a Powermac running Yellowdog linux and a self-compiled gnome 
2.2); e.g. I don't see anything in the left-hand "cards" window. And the 
german xlation seems to be widely broken, as all national chars are 
missing (wrongly coded? I get *tons* of pango errors), so I always use the 
posix locale.

So please continue your work!!
