How about a configurable regular expression for files to be skipped,
defaulting to an empty string (with the convention that it matches
nothing!)?
Would "(\.sig|\.gcrd|^#.*#|~)$" work?
Personally, I have no idea who or what creates files matching #.*#, so
I might always choose to name some mailbox that way--it catches your
eye, doesn't it?--and if I do, having Balsa ignore it sure would be
confusing.
