Spell checking

Hello all,


I'm new to Balsa and only have one question about spelling.  I have 
installed aspell and gnome spell.  When I try to spell check a document 
thr balsa email client crashes (closes).  Am I missing a symlink 
somewhere? I'm using Gentoo's Linux distro if that helps at all.
