Quoted Text color and Spell Check

My quoted text color doesn't seem to work. I changed the colors through
preferences but even after restarting balsa all the text in my messages
appear in the same color.

When I click my Spelling button I get the following message:

"I'm sorry I can't find any sutable word lists for the language-tag "en"." 
(suitable is spelled wrong)  :)

Any ideas for either of these? I'm running balsa 1.1.2.
