Different versions

Some time ago somebody on this list had some problems with the  compiler
used to build balsa.  If I recall correctly it was to do with different
versions of
the  compiler. Could that person retell his experience for my benefit.

I wonder if my problems with installation of balsa are to do with something
similar.
