Just some info.  The reason for this currently is that all the POP3 stuff
is in libmutt and it does not provide any feedback for anything.  My plans
for libbalsa will definitely support this kind of feedback.  libbalsa will
be thread-safe and if we transition to it I highly recommend that we
thread balsa itself.
