Is there a timeframe for implementing LDAP support for the addressbook?
Seems like we'd want to make sure it works with all the prominent LDAP
implementations.
I haven't posted here before, so I'm going to ask a question that may
have already been discussed extensively. Is the Balsa development team
using either code or general code design ideas taken from Pine? Pine
works really well for me now. I like Netscape's Messenger client, but
I often find that when it is opening my Inbox from my IMAP server, it just
sits there forever and never returns. As for Micro$oft's Outlook 98
client, I have coworkers who swear by it (I sometimes have sworn at it).
One feature a friend of mine likes is that he can highlight a section of a
web page and then drag it to Outlook. The formatting of the highlighted
chunk of HTML is preserved and displayed in the Outlook HTML message
composition window. Which raises another question: Will balsa eventually
support HTML messages? And further, will Balsa evolve into a Gnome
client on a functional par with Navigator or Outlook? Will it eventually
support any of the non-POP/IMAP mail servers?
Thanks.
Miles
