Re: Website for GNOME.Asia 2019

Hi,

that events website is terrible.
It's really hard to find the CfP or even the conference. When you
"browse" existing events you get only events in your own country which
is totally pointless. You need to have an account in order to submit a
proposal which makes it unnecessarily hard. As a logged in user you can
create your own conferences which is super confusing. It seems unclear
how to make a static copy once the event has finished. It has weirdly
looking URLs for the sub pages. It uses Google Analytics (bad enough)
without the anonymise IP function (super bad). It sets long term cookies
for no obvious reason.

I hope we don't make use of it for GNOME.Asia Summit.

Cheers,
  Tobi

Hi Kat,

Thanks to telling us. I will pass to local team, and they will
consider about it.

Hi Sammy & all,

We are using events.gnome.org to do tickets for GUADEC this year.
Would you be interested in using it also for GNOME.Asia? I hope that
it can be used for all GNOME events in the future.

Kat
