Re: Chinese English Card for GNOME.Asia / COSCUP 2010

Emily/Pockey:

Sorry to confuse you. We are talking about you.

From Emily's previous email, she said she will try to find Brian Cameron
to talk about GNOME board team, because Srinivasa confirmed not to join
GNOME.Asia. So we would like to ask if you can do one more speech of 30
mins on the first day between 11am to 12nn (on top of giving 1 x key
note, Road to GNOME 3.0).

Could you explain in more detail what you would like me to talk about?
It isn't clear to me what "talking about GNOME board team" means.

Are you saying that you want me to provide an introduction to The
GNOME Foundation as an organization, to discuss what sorts of things
the GNOME Foundation board of directors does in general, to discuss
what things the board worked on in the past year, all of these
things, or something else?

I would be happy to talk for this timeslot, but I need someone to
provide me with more clear instruction about what you want me to talk
about in order to prepare slides, etc.

It's okay, Fred is okay to give either a 30 mins (or 60 mins) speech
while we will wait for Brian's response as well :) Hope Brian can fill
one timeslot!

I am already giving one talk at GNOME.Asia about the "Road to GNOME
3.0". Are you asking me if I can talk about another topic as well?

Sorry, but it is not clear from the context of this discussion what
exactly you are hoping I might be able to do. Or are you talking about
some other Brian?

Got it, will try. But I think if we just can't find someone back up,
we can still leave the slot(s) blank (or see if any community wanna
have a small hackathon, workshop... etc.)

          Hi Bob and Pofeng,

Foreign speaker Srinivasa has the last minute cancel of his
talk. I am really sorry about this.

Srinivasa's takes two time slot, we will try to find back up
for those two time slot. I know Fred might help on one time
slot. I will try to find Brian Cameron to talk about GNOME
board team. However, Brian is on vacation these days, I will
try to find him by the end of today.

I know it is hard, but if there are some back up speakers from
COSCUP side, please take this slot.

I will give a final update by the end of this day. Tomorrow I
          will be in Taipei.

          Thanks,
          Emily

                  Hi,

I couldn't get my travel funded by my company :-(. I
                  know its too
late, but I had some hope to get my travel approved
                  before today, but
I received no word from my office yet. I take this as
                  a NO from my
                  office.

Sorry for any inconvenience it could have caused.
