Errmm... they were a bit late in coming though. Will try to get
updates a bit faster in the future.

The identified hosts are:

o IIT - Madras : strong GNOME user and developer community, research
projects around a11y
o IIT - Mumbai : research projects around FOSS in embedded space and
netbooks, mobile devices

In both cases, the examination period is ending just at the beginning
of the first week of Dec09. That means that for a long period of time,
the students would not be able to help out with the logistics and, the
event set-up stuff.

The current situation for involving them looks a bit grim.

I am sure they would be. However, the Bangalore Linux Users Group
would at that point be busy with FOSS.IN which is an annual event. I
have had a huge help from Stormy (a bow to Stormy is mandated here)
and, will be picking up the threads from there to see what comes out
of it.

Yes, that is a very touch-n-go situation. Additionally, that may vary
based on whether there is an underlying theme to the event.

It actually would be a good idea. In fact, thinking about doing away
with a large aspect of freebies is what both the potential hosts have
pointed out (read: catering)
