At our last meeting, I thought we decided to have a follow-up meeting.
I haven't heard of any follow-up meetings being scheduled. Is a meeting
planned? Is there any update on GNOME.Asia planning?

I would think that we should still talk to the venues. We can let them

on their list for when the scare is over and they are open.

I will be busy for the next couple of weeks that is business
related. I will be out of Saigon for most of next week.
In regards to the venues, this is not really a good time to speak
with the universities. The media has created a scare in regards to
the swine flu. Schools and universities are closing down. There is
only around 930 cases of swine flu in the whole country. I do not
think universities would be interested hosting an international
event at this time. Lets wait until early September to see if the
situation improves.
On the plus side, since the number of tourists are down, there
should be good rates for hotels in Saigon. Tour packages will be
great also.
We do want to make this possible but we should be a bit pragmatic at
this point.
Best Regards,
Kevin
