When I try using iso10646-1 charset, font selector says, that this is a
2-byte font and there
may be problems. So there are problems. Writing comments in English is
somewhat
boring, so how do non-english Anjuta users manage this problem?

I am not very familiar with font issues, but I believe Anjuta handle 2
bytes font (correctly). UTF8 support is available in gtk2/gnome2
platform and therefore it likely that anjuta will support them later.
It's a pity, but as far as I can remember, you haven't promised a
working Anjuta2 in nearest
future. We are all (me and customers) now on RedHat 8.0 with Gnome2 and
UTF8 and
are trying now to live in a more progressive environment.
