[Anjuta-list] Comments in national language - how?

I cannot write comments in Russian (ru_RU.UTF8). They look greek 
whatever font I choose.
When I try using iso10646-1 charset, font selector says, that this is a 
2-byte font and there
may be problems. So there are problems. Writing comments in English is 
somewhat
boring, so how do non-english Anjuta users manage this problem?
