So grep in RH7.0 is broken? This works OK in RH7.1.
What we need to try to do is to find a solution which means that Anjuta
will work on all distributions. Maybe configure should check for a
working version of grep which supports -r, or sets a flag which enables
your fix to be compiled in.
Have you posted the patch for your change to the SF site?

Already on the wishlist, in the feature requests section at SF.

I reported this as a bug a while ago - it's in the bug list at SF I
think.
