June 01 2021 Meeting

Attendees:

GNOME.Asia Summit 2021 Update
- Local team suggested on 6 & 7 October 2021 (Wed & Thu) or 13 & 14 October 2021 (Wed & Thu)
- Next plans by local team:
  - Gnome Asia Summit 2021 Logo competition
  - Create New / Cloning the previous page* Planned to have the same team members (will discuss further internally)
- Kristi gave the 2020 report.
  - the majority of attendees were between 18-30 years old: (43.48%)
  - Indonesia, India, China are the locations with the most attendance.
  - It was the first GNOME ASIA for most attendees (60.87%)
  - The feedback was very positive. Satisfied: (69.57%)
  - Some feedback on what we could have done better: Conference on weekend for more audiences, more marketing, more speakers from Asia.
  - 184 registrations and 134, 180, 76 people attended (average: 130) on 24-26 November.
- Kristi created some issues on GitLab, fenris, local team, and committee members should check it to keep the update of our works.

When will we meet next time?
- 22 June 2020, Tuesday. (13:00 UTC) <-- changed default start time to 13:00 UTC from next meeting.

AI: fenris will update the timeline or update of logo competition, creating a summit page and team formation.
AI: Kristi and Rania will coordinate the certificate design for organising team members with the designer.
AI: sammy will check with the infrastructure team about the dead gnome.asia and updating www.gnome.asia.
AI: Muhd Syazwan will test the video system (eg. OBS, BBB) for a better fit of speaker and slide screen.
AI: SammyFung will create an event for the next meeting on events.gnome.org and send an iCal invitation.
