Because - as I said in a earlier message today - HEAD is rep-gtk 2.90.0, which requires
2.21.8 -- porting to GTK+3 will be done here. For stable 0.90.x checkout the
`rep-gtk-0.90.' branch (or the 0.90.4 tag).
