Hi Will
Nope, Alt + Tab doesn't show anything, nor can I see anything in any type of
window using the magnifier window; don't know if there's anything behind the
magnifier window though that isn't being picked up for whatever reason.
To an aside, from the terminal should the command orca -h throw an error?
When I was trying to find help from orca and did this command, I got an
error back which indicated that the -h was not trapped properly. I can grab
the exact error if you want.

Hi Ian:
I have a feeling it is going to be very hard to figure out what's
causing this hang. Do you have an application running as any other user
(e.g., root) that is displaying a window on your desktop?
