Re: [orca-list] A question.

Hi:

I'm not sure about the specific hardware supported by OpenSolaris (and
Solaris Express). You can find out more information about OpenSolaris
and Orca here:

  http://www.opensolaris.org/os/downloads/
  http://live.gnome.org/Orca/DownloadInstall
  http://live.gnome.org/Orca/OpenSolaris

I'm not sure if the OpenSolaris releases are as aggressive as Ubuntu
when it comes to always including the very latest GNOME releases, but I
think they do make the recent GNOME releases available as a separate
download, code named "Vermillion".

Last I knew, Vermillion came in two flavors -- a "stable" build, which
was based on the last stable release(s) of GNOME (e.g., GNOME 2.18.x),
and a "development" build based upon GNOME 2.19.x releases:

  http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=122044&#122044

My recommendation would be to wait until the Vermillion Devel 67 build
is available and install it on top of your OpenSolaris. I'd then
download/install the latest Orca release following the instructions at
http://live.gnome.org/Orca/DownloadInstall.

Hope this helps,

Will
