Darren, The onboard wireless is only b, I wanted the faster g to prevent my laptop from slowing down the entire network. Lspci tells me it's an Atheros NIC AR5005VL 802.11bg (rev01). I am using Driverloader by Linuxant which is based on Ndis wrapper to load the XP driver for the card. Thx, Robert
There is a native Linux driver called madwifi so you don't have a need to use Driverloader. http://madwifi.org/ It has some issues with signal strength reporting but it is almost certainly better than Driverloader.
