Re: [gnome.org #11785] Application received from Max Huang (sakanamax AT gmail.com)

Dear Bruno,

We met Max Huang during the GNOME.Asia Summit 2010 in August, since then
he has been actively contributing to GNOME in different ways.
First, he started the Taiwan GNOME User Group [1] right after the
conference. I subscribed to their mailing list [2]. The Taiwan GUG is
active with monthly meeting and projects related to GNOME. He also
helped to localize messages of GNOME related marketing activities and
promote them within their mailing list.

Initiated three GNOME 3 parties in Taiwan [3], He is organizing one in
Taipei and helped us to define the right candidates to host two other
GNOME 3 parties in Taipei and Kaohsiung. So the parties cover three main
regions in Taiwan.

As a committee member of GNOME.Asia, he will be in charge of the GNOME
booth during the GNOME.Asia Summit 2011 (April 2-3) and helping us to
video tape participants to ask them questions like how they feel / think
about GNOME. The video will be edited and for marketing usage later.

With all the contributions so far, I believe Max Huang can become a
GNOME foundation member. Thanks!

Dear Emily, Pockey and Brian,

The GNOME Membership Committee is about to process Max Huang's
application to become a GNOME Foundation Member and therefore we would
like to receive some feedback about the applicant and the GNOME-related
work.
(past and present contributions are usually fine)

Please remember that vouching for a contributor means you really think
he/she deserves to be a Foundation Member and that you trust the
applicant and their
work for the global GNOME community. If unsure about vouching or not,
please let us know why you don't feel enough comfortable in advocating
this applicant.

For further details about the applicant, feel free to have a look at the
applicant's
application at the following link:

At your service,

The GNOME Foundation Membership Committee
