Gtk2 is stable and is the only stable version currently
supported (Gtk1 is deprecated).

On the other hand, gtk2-perl is surely still under development
and far less stable and feature-rich than gtk1-perl, for sure.
That said, the 45,000-lines-long Mandrake installation program
happily uses gtk2-perl.
