On my system:
* top level menu items items always print the line
* the second level items never prints a line (not even the first time
is clicked), except in one case: if you click "Submenu", then click
"Submenu Item #N", the line will always be printed. This is valid in
any combination of clicks, provided you click "Submenu" before
"Submenu Item".
Like Pascal, I've defined "Submenu" as <Branch>, with the same result.
If there any reason why a click on "Submenu" would have this effect?

LFS, GTK version 2.2.2, Gtk2-Perl version 0.92 (just upgraded, tried with
0.91, same effect).
