Re: filechooserbutton and saving

Actually this is where it's at:

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=157384

Owen suggests using smth. like:

   [ Entry ]
in [ Folder ]

because of issues around returning relative or absolute file names.

Guess that's that for current versions, though I, for one, need to make
the distinction myself anyway in various places and wouldn't have minded
one more (esp. considering that you typically need to check user input
anyway when it might also have come through gconf-editor or the command
line).

For example: I WANT the user to be able to say "myapp --file blub.avi" on
the command line and get the file in the current directory or "myapp
--file /tmp/blub.avi" and need to take care of the distinction anyway.

But since this appears to be my personal problem, I guess I'll have to
hack smth. up.

Cheers,

Karl.
