That is about the level at which it makes sense.  Fine grained
bonobo/corba use is frustrating to say the least.  Gnumeric will
also support being used as a control shortly.  We may want to work
on a new interface along the lines of the old Embeddable, but the
focus should be on getting the interface right rather than fighting
with corba, or running a spreadsheet though a firewall via an
encrypted connection and displaying in abiword running on a Palm
Pilot.

I'm in the midst of working on the successor to libole.  It will
support ole and the OO zip format.  With that in place and the
ability to just display embedded windows we are most of the way
there.  Things like menu/toolbar merging can also be done at a
slower pace.
