I just updated my Intrepid box as of a few minutes ago.  I found that I
still needed a ~root/.orbitrc file and that I needed to disable the gksu
keyboard grab.  Once I did these two things, I was able to use Orca to
access a gcalctool launched with "gksu gcalctool".  Prior to making
those changes, the desktop essentially just hung.

The two lines needed in ~root/.orbitrc are as follows:

ORBIIOPIPv4=1
ORBIIOPUNIX=0

Hope this helps,

Thanks
