I just started a thread about pointer grabs and recommending to not use them in the gnome-accessibility-list. I hope that it will clearify whether such a recommendation could make sense and if it does, start the process of avoiding them. (Though it will probably take a long time until pointer grabs, if possible, are not used anymore.)
