Re: [Evolution] RPM's for mandrake broken?

but sometimes compiling gives you some extra functionality/problems....but rpms
are good because of their consistancy....i am not a expert linux person and i
remember putting GTK 1.2.7 in and the ./configure script saying

GTK >= 1.2.7..........no

but you might need source for one thing or another

I figured that was the case, but I usually try to stay with rpms for the
simplicity (compiling was something I thought I was done with a decade
ago), plus I got to be the first on the block with a bug report!

You'll need the ::shudder:: sources and use the configure flag...

./configure --with-bonobo --with-oaf

that is probably the only thing you need to compile....i am on mandrake too

Did you build gtkhtml with Bonobo and OAF support?

Did you....??

I found the rpms, but there might be a problem with the build for Mandrake 7.x.

I don't know how alter a compiler flag in an rpm. :)
