I saw you posted in the Banshee forum earlier (I think); I responded by email, so it went out to the mailing list, but it's not showing up in the forum (yet, at least). �Really, it would be good to file a bug report for this. �See�banshee-project.org/contribute/file-bugs/�for more info. �When you open a report, please run these commands, one at a time, from terminal:

cd &&�lsusb > usb-devices.txt

banshee-1 --debug > banshee-before-podsleuth-log.txt

podsleuth --rescan > podsleuth-log.txt
banshee-1 --debug > banshee-after-podsleuth-log.txt

Running these commands should create 4 txt files in your home folder, please attach them to the bug report. �The first command lists all usb devices that are currently plugged into your computer. �If your iPod doesn't show up here, then your system isn't detecting it - not just Banshee. �Assuming your iPod is on the list, run the second command. �This will run Banshee from terminal, and save all the --debug output in a text file. �After Banshee has been up and running for a minute or so, quite Banshee (using Media > Quit). �The third command runs Banshee's iPod detection tool and saves the output to a text file. �The last command re-runs Banshee from terminal, and it might find your iPod this time.

At least in my case, when I updated to a new version Banshee, which was supposed to fully support iPods again, my iPod still wasn't detected until I ran the 'podsleuth --rescan' command from Terminal. If your issue is the same, we should really try to track it down, so that developers can see what's wrong and fix it.
