Hi, Thanks for the elaborate answer, much appreciated. I did some tests and it seems the issue on Solus was different from the one on Arch which is now working again (configuration error on my end). However the issue on Solus seems with the plugin itself. The error in journald is: pppd[11604]: Couldn't load plugin /usr/lib64/pppd/2.4.5/nm-fortisslvpn-pppd-plugin.so After looking around This appears to be an issue common in multiple distributions. You should enable debug logging level though. See the hints at https://cgit.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/tree/contrib/fedora/rpm/NetworkManager.conf You can also enable more logging for the plugin, by enabling the VPN_PLUGIN logging domain too. Note that level=TRACE domains=ALL does not enable VPN_PLUGIN:TRACE level. It does so, because this logging level might cause sensitive data to be logged(*), so you have to explicitly enable it via level=TRACE domains=ALL,VPN_PLUGIN:TRACE (*) check the logfile before posting. best, Thomas |
