Re: [gnome.org #16481] Application received from Gwan-gyeong Mun (elongbug AT gmail.com)

Hello, Veri,
Moon was started open source activity from his former company "Samsung"
Tizen/Enlightment team.
He is interested in GNOME since many years ago, and started getting involve
contribution to GNOME since he said(commit log).
He is currently working in Intel, Finland, for improving i915 graphic
driver, and he enjoys to send patch for many graphic related projects
such as mesa, mutter and so on.

He joined FOSDEM since January, last year,
He introduced us (many Korean open source enthusiasts) what is a good
point (advantage)
to join open-source event such as hackfest, conference, tea-time and so on
which is mainly held in Europe, and he told us what he learned from there.
He also learned how to use jhbuild and introduced why we use that build
system,
and what jhbuild brings us for our productivity.

I know that he is ready to contribute many projects in GNOME,
He is really passionate person, who already being in Telegram GNOME group.
so I recommend members to welcome him joining GNOME membership.

Thank you for reading long long comment. :$

Sincerely.

Dear Changwoo and Seong-ho,

The GNOME Membership Committee is about to process Gwan-gyeong's
application to become a GNOME Foundation Member and therefore need some
feedback about the applicant and their work on GNOME, both past and
present.

Remember that vouching for a contributor means you really think the
applicant
is committed to GNOME and will carry on contributing in the future, and
that
you trust the applicant and their work. If unsure about vouching or not,
please
let us know why you don't feel comfortable enough in advocating this
applicant.

For further details about the applicant, feel free to have a look at the
their application at the following link:

Thanks,

The GNOME Foundation Membership Committee
