Oh, porting ancient DOS apps to *nix is not a trivial task, as they tend to
do lot's of direct hw access and take lot's of assumptions that are in no
way valid in *nix world. But your idea is interesting.

As you're not experienced yet, you'll first have to learn a lot of things
about C-programming. 

I'd like to offer you mentorship if you could help me in some of my own
projects.
