I'm a bit late to the thread, but I'm not immediately in favor of
dropping support for <10.9. For me the answer depends on how much is the
gtk-osx-build moduleset exercised on pre-10.9 machines?
Quite a bit by xpra.
Our main build system is still based on a 10.5.8 virtual machine.
(and none of the later OSX versions are quite as stable as this one when
virtualized)

We are planning to move to a newer build environment, and maybe make the
jump to 64-bit at the same time.

my 2p: I wouldn't worry too much about older versions, but since it
ain't broke yet...


It will be as soon as we bump glib to 2.44 or later. That's the point of the thread.
