GtkTable : a bug in the doc ?

Dear all,

  I read

GtkWidget*  gtk_table_new (guint rows,
                           guint columns,
                           gboolean homogeneous);
----------------------------------------------------

but according to what happen on my plateform,
rows are columns and columns are rows !!!
Yes, indeed, absolutely :-)
Or am I too sleepy to see through that clearly ?
