embedding a child widget in a GtkTextView widget

Hi,

I'm using gtk_text_view_add_child_at_anchor to embed another widget. What I want
to do is shift the widget downward relative the current text in any line in the textview
widget. How do I go about getting the relative position and shifting a child widget?
