GSoC-18 Introduction: Suhas Nayak

Hello,
Congratulations to all my fellow GNOME GSoCers!

I am Suhas Nayak, a final year undergraduate at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, India. I am doing my majors in Mathematics & Computing and minor in Product Design.

I became a part of the GNOME Community last year, I worked on the GSoC 17 project - Pitivi: Color Correction Interface. I had a wonderful experience last time, coding away the summer, working with and meeting GNOME hackers from around the world, and presenting my work at GUADEC, Manchester, UK.

I am very excited being a GSoC student under GNOME again. This summer, I'll be hacking on Pitivi and adding the slow motion feature to it. There are two objectives - adding the speed feature to a clip and the ability to have variable speeds within a clip. I've started working towards the first by adding to Pitivi's backend - GStreamer Editing Services (GES). Mathieu Duponchelle and Thibault Saunier (co-maintainers, Pitivi) are mentoring my project.

Follow my blog to get updates on progress and developments in the project. Feel free to ping me on IRC, my nick is suhas2go. I'm always on #pitivi on freenode.

Looking forward to amazing work all around. Cheers :)
