Hi,

This is all getting a bit techy for me at my  present level of
knowledge.

As all I want is a system on which to store the backup "off" the machine
and  as I have that with the USB stick I think that's where I'll leave
it  there for the time being until  learn more.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions and I can only apologize again
for my failure to understand the replies
