Actually one of the downsides of Evo is the amount of supporting stuff
it needs to run (a fairly significant part of Gnome). This means that's
it's fairly complex to install the next version before the distro
catches up. Not impossible, but not trivial either. For someone (such as
myself) who's only interested in the mailer, this is quite a high price
to pay.
