[Evolution] User interface

When I select a message in 2.0, the display of the message is always
scrolled to the end of it. Is there a way to get the old 1.4 interface
(displaying from the beginning) back?

Also in the past I work with a client where left cursor could be used to
colapse a thread an right cursor to expand a thread. Could something
like this be done for Evolution?
