Well, to give some further information:
If I enter 'evolution' (without quotation) in the respective colum at
KDE Control Center, it will start evolution (i.e. the summary).
My guess, if I entered a command there which starts just one single
compose window, it would be the right thing !?!
Which command makes evolution open one single compose window from the
command line? (*)

(*) It can't be evolution-mail, because:

wolfi linux:~> evolution-mail 

evolution-mail-WARNING **: Error starting factory
evolution-mail-WARNING **: evolution-mail is already running

This happens when entering evolution-mail while you are already in
evolution.
