Re: [Evolution] Crash on startup with OAFD error

Did you compile it as all other packages with the same --prefix and
--sysconfdir as the rest of your gnome packages?

You can obtain those by doing:
 gnome-config --prefix
 gnome-config --sysconfdir

(Maybe you need to set OAF_INFO_PATH?)

I set OAF_INFO_PATH to /usr/share/oaf; if OAF_INFO_PATH is not set the
only difference is that 'trying /usr/share/oaf/' appears before the
warning.

Have a look at /tmp/orbit-XXXXX where XXXXX is your username. Deleting it
should work because it seems that once you have started the program with
a
wrong OAF_INFO_PATH, it keeps the configuration there.

Alas, it does not work for me. I deleted all the files in
/tmp/orbit-michel that
contained 'oaf' or 'OAF' in their names, and killed any active oafd - did
not work.
So I proceeded to repeat again, this time removing the entire
/tmp/orbit-michel;
did not make any different. Still the same error message...

Does OAF need to be compiled with any specific flags?

Thanks,

Michel
