It is very possible that the FAQ lists an outdated DTD for sheets or for
shapes; please have a look at the sheets and shapes shipped with dia, to
check that you use the same DTD.

Also, please check that dia indeed finds your shapes and sheets ; you may
want to experiment a bit with the search paths, and/or temporarily put your
files in dia's directories.
