Re: [Banshee-List] WMA files, DRM and static

Banshee uses gstreamer as its backend for playing the audio.  Can you see if this problem also happens with other gstreamer-based media players, such as Totem (Movie Player) or Rhythmbox?

I'm running Banshee 2.0.1 on the Elementary build of Ubuntu 10.10, and
everything works except for one thing: the replay of WMA files is full of
static -- almost like bad vinyl. I think most of the WMA files, left over
from my days on Windows with Windows Media Player, are DRM protected. Is
there anything I can do? I don't have this problem with other media players,
like Audacious, but I'd prefer to use Banshee for several reasons, including
panel integration and easier playlist management.
